Site Assessment and Planning

Transforming a yard into your garden oasis takes preparation and planning, beginning with the soil.  Evaluating your site, determining your lighting conditions, and understanding local growing conditions will help you select the right plant for the right place.  And, most importantly help you decipher your garden style and plants that please you! (For instance, do you like your gardens natural,  neat and tidy, native gardens, cutting gardens, English country border, low maintenance, etc.) Optional pricing is available for either consulting on an hourly basis, or a series of seasonal site visits. BOAS will come and evaluate current growing conditions and match your conditions with a list of suggested plants, and make design suggestions, all leading to the ultimate goal of providing color in your garden that thrives throughout the four seasons.

Best Of All Seasons package (best value) $1600

It’s our philosophy that the best means of truly understanding how your landscape preforms in our ever changing Chicago climate is observing how it’s growing though out our 4 seasons. A  year-round site assessment tracking your garden’s growing conditions, successes and challenges spring, summer, fall and winter will not only lead to achieving seasonal color yet will lead to seeds of wise investments before purchasing costly plant material.  Addressing all the elements our variable Chicago weather brings is a wise investment before planning a major landscaping overhaul.
